STI Testing that gets it right.
Most STI pages sell a panel. This one explains the blind spot: oral and anal infections can be missed when testing stops at urine and blood. Shameless Care panels are physician-ordered, site-specific, and built for people who want a clearer answer.
- ^ Physician ordered collection kit shipped discreetly to your door

The blind spot
If the site was not collected, you can miss something.
Chlamydia and gonorrhea can infect the throat or rectum. If those sites are not collected, they are not tested.
Oral Swabs Matter
Throat infections are invisible to urine-only testing panels.
Anal Swabs Count
Testing should follow exposure sites, not assumptions.
Physician Review is Critical
The panel is ordered and reviewed by a board certified doctor.
Consistency is key
One doctor. Start to Finish.
We do not sell standalone test kits or lab slips. Shameless Care provides physician directed telehealth care. The same physician who reviews your medical intake and orders appropriate testing also reviews your results and provides treatment when appropriate.

THE RESEARCH
Here are several valuable resources regarding STI testing and how a truly thorough panel impacts your sexual health for the better.
FAQ & Information
Are the tests accurate?
Yes, but accuracy depends on testing the right places. Gonorrhea and chlamydia often infect the throat or rectum, and a urine-only test misses those completely. Even a perfect genital test catches 0% of throat infections if it never swabs the throat. We test every site you’ve been exposed at, so nothing slips through a blind spot. No test is perfect, but testing the right places is what gets you a true answer.
How long does delivery take?
Because we provide real medical care, your kit ships only after your Shameless Care physician reviews your medical information. This review usually happens within an hour, but may take up to 24 hours. Once approved, kits typically ship within 24 hours of medical clearance.
Are the tests painful?
When we promise easy, we promise minimal discomfort.
Getting “the works” when it comes to a complete STD test panel, means testing different fluids from different places.
Here is what you can expect:
- Urine testing is painless—you need to worry mostly about aim.
- Blood collection is through a lancet device that most people experience as a quick pinch.
- Taking a throat swab sometimes triggers a gag reflex and can feel scratchy for a moment.
Is the packaging discreet?
Your privacy is part of our promise to you.
Your collection materials ship in discreet packaging with only the lab’s name on the exterior package.
Why can't I go to my doctor?
You might be able to — and we’ll even help you.
We built a resource page to help you get better testing from your own doctor.
What you can’t do is walk in and ask for a “full panel” and assume that means anything. It doesn’t. Most physicians simply don’t have the training or experience to order proper STI testing for non-monogamous patients.
An STI test without throat swabs isn’t just incomplete — it’s dangerous. It can miss many infections, especially when oral or anal exposure is not tested. And that’s only the beginning.
But if you can use that resource page, and your provider actually listens and orders everything correctly — then absolutely, use them. We just want you tested properly.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept FSA and HSA debit cards, but do not bill directly to insurance.
